Last week, the Kansas City Chiefs athlete was photographed perusing the TriBeCa store Patron of the New while shopping in New York.
The upscale business, which bills itself as a “multi-designer boutique,” sells carefully chosen apparel, accessories, shoes, and home goods. Travis’s shopping binge was sparked by the home goods, which drove him to leave the store with bags full.

Travis is thought to have lavished Taylor with expensive presents for both her December birthday and Christmas. According to The Sun, he spent nearly $175,000 on flowers and jewelry for Taylor, which included a Van Cleef & Arpels Alhambra long necklace, a rose gold Rolex Day-Date 36 watch, and a custom gold split cuff from Tiffany & Co. with a heart engraved on the inside.
The candles, however, might have had greater significance for the musician because they demonstrate how well her boyfriend knows her.
In an interview with the Baskin and Phelps podcast last month, Travis’ father, Ed Kelce, mentioned that this was the method to buy for Taylor.
“Buying Taylor a present is like trying to buy Jason or Travis a present,” Ed admitted on the show, referencing Travis’ brother, Jason Kelce, the retired Philadelphia Eagles player. “There’s nothing they want that they don’t already have. You have to look beyond that” he explained. “You gotta dig down and come up with something special.”
Ed doesn’t care about the money. “The amount of money is meaningless. You’re not going to crush Taylor Swift with a gift that cost $100,000,” he stated. He’s concentrating on something much more significant instead.
“You’ve got to get something that tweaks the strings of her heart that you spend 10 bucks on,” he continued. “Then she’ll just be all gooey. You’ve got to find something that triggers the emotion.”
