ICBMs were utilized in combat for the first time in human history. WWIII and World War III are getting closer. If President Trump leads the talks, Putin is willing to talk about a ceasefire with Ukraine. Trump must return as soon as possible!
Ukraine claimed that Russia had fired an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) against the city of Dnipro in the east on November 21, 2024. As the first known use of such a weapon in the war, this assertion, if confirmed, would represent a major escalation in the ongoing confrontation between the two countries. The designation of the missile as an ICBM has been contested, meanwhile, by Western outlets and U.S. officials.
The missile struck vital infrastructure and industries, resulting in flames and two injuries.
Along with seven Kh-101 cruise missiles and a Kinzhal hypersonic missile, the ICBM was launched from the Astrakhan region of Russia. Although six of the cruise missiles were intercepted by Ukrainian defenses, the impact of the ICBM was not verified.
The situation deteriorated after Ukraine used American and British weapons on Russian territory. Moscow issued a warning that these attacks might have dire repercussions.
Ukraine’s Patriot systems are not designed to intercept ICBMs, but they are capable of intercepting short-range missiles. Analysts wonder if the US was alerted ahead of time of the launch to prevent unintentional reprisals.
