The Netflix streaming platform will release a bonus episode for the Japanese gay dating show “The Boyfriend” soon. According to Dexerto, this added episode will land on the streaming site on August 3rd.
The show was first available on Netflix on July 9th, 2024. Nine young men interested in other guys live together in a seaside house named “Green Room” and run a peppermint truck; this is how “The Boyfriend” goes.
With varying intentions of joining as friends or perhaps finding love, the participants make it Japan’s first gay romance reality program. Accordingly, on Thursday, the streaming service confirmed that its most-watched series upon release in 2021, the popular South Korean survival drama series called Squid Game, is coming back for season two starting December 26th. Directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk, the series will have its third and last season premiere scheduled for 2025.
In addition to writing and producing the first part of the series, Hwang said he felt great about going back to ‘Squid Game’ ‘s world in another season. The long-awaited second season of Squid Game happens three years after Squid Game where dangerous competitions were held. The whole premise revolves around contestants who put their lives at stake just to win a chance at redemption through wealth.
What was called into being through the first season of Squid Game is yet to be unveiled by the second season which shall spin another version of events on it since there is no other aspect that can give an account at this time. The grand occasion comes four years after the previous tragedy because during such periods new knowledge has been acquired.
