In response to China’s decision to rename thirty more sites in Arunachal Pradesh, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said, “Changing names does not alter reality.” “If I were to rename your home, would it suddenly become mine?” he asked rhetorically.
According to Jaishankar, “Arunachal Pradesh has always been and will remain an integral part of India.” He underlined that renaming locations does not alter this reality.
Jaishankar reiterated Indian forces’ presence at the Line of Actual Control in response to reports of Chinese incursions into Ladakh. He continued, “Our armed forces are stationed there, fully aware of their duties.”
In response to Ladakh-based climate activist Sonam Wangchuk’s claims of Chinese encroachments, Jaishankar remarked, “Every individual holds their own perspective.”
