A pilot and his family are killed in a private jet disaster in Brazil. All ten individuals on board are killed when a small plane crashes into a Brazilian city.
According to CNN, a small jet crashed into the city of Gramado in southern Brazil on Sunday, killing at least ten people.
According to official Brazilian authorities, the plane struck many buildings, resulting in extensive damage and more than a dozen injuries.
At least 17 people were hurt in the incident, according to Rio Grande do Sul’s Civil Defense, and several of them inhaled smoke from a fire that was started by the collision. According to reports, two people with significant burns are in critical condition.
According to National Civil Defense, the incident happened soon after the plane took off from the nearby airfield.
Before crashing into a residential house and later a furniture business, the plane initially struck a building’s chimney. CNN said that the crash’s debris also struck an inn.
The aftermath was seen on camera, with smoke and flames rising from the wreckage and debris all over the place. Additionally, the video showed a cloudy sky with fog engulfing the area.
The fact that there were no survivors on board the plane has alarmed local officials. According to preliminary assessments, the plane’s occupants may not have survived, said Eduardo Leite, governor of Rio Grande do Sul.
Ten people were on board, according to preliminary reports, but it’s unclear if all of the casualties were passengers or included others on the ground, CNN said.
