The “trash” will be removed in D.C., according to Vance, “and the trash’s name is Kamala Harris.”
On election eve, former President Donald Trump’s running partner for 2024, Sen. J.D. Vance, called Vice President Kamala Harris “trash” in a speech.
“The citizens of this country are not garbage for wanting to be able to afford groceries and a nice place to live. But in two days we are gonna take out the trash in Washington D.C., and the trash’s name is Kamala Harris,” Vance said.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., stated in a post on X;
There was backlash against comedian Tony Hinchcliffe after he made a joke about Puerto Rico being “a floating island of garbage.” Speaking during Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden, he cracked the joke.
Later, President Joe Biden caused a stir when he declared, “The only garbage I see floatin’ out there is his supporters.”
According to Biden, he was calling Hinchcliffe’s remarks “garbage.”
“Earlier today I referred to the hateful rhetoric about Puerto Rico spewed by Trump’s supporters at his Madison Square Garden rally as garbage—which is the only word I can think of to describe it,” Biden wrote in an article on X. It is unacceptable that he has demonized Latinos. I only intended to say that. The remarks made at that event don’t represent our country.
Biden has “clarified his comments,” according to Kamala Harris, who also stated that she is against “any criticism of people based on who they vote for.”
